The Human Resources Division delivers innovative and timely human resources services and leadership to enable the Fire Department to provide exceptional municipal services to our diverse residents and visitors.
Human Resources is responsible for a variety of activities such as staffing needs, hiring employees, employment verification, recruiting, guiding managers with performance issues, and ensuring personnel and management practices conform to various policies and procedures with the City of Sacramento.
Human Resources Division reports directly to the Deputy Chief of Administrative Services. Managed by an Administrative Officer and staffed with an Administrative Analyst and an Administrative Technician, the Division is responsible for the following:
Recruitment and Selection of Fire Recruits and all other career classifications within the Department.
Labor Relation issues implemented through the various Memorandum of Understanding (for positions within the Fire Department).
All Payroll, Worker Compensation, and Personnel Transactions.
