Type of Incident: House Fire
Location: 2528 5th Avenue, Sacramento
Two Alarm Fire in Curtis Park Neighborhood

Sacramento- a two alarm house fire severely damaged a two story home on Fifth Avenue near 25th Street tonight. The fire was reported at 7:56 P.M.  The first arriving unit was a Battalion Chief about three minutes later. The Fire Engine Company on scene arrived about three minutes after the Chief.

Engine 6 is the first due Engine Company to this location; however it was “Browned Out” today. The slower response time due to the Brown Out slowed initial Firefighting Operations.

Much of the home was severely damaged and the fire displaced the family living there. Fortunately there were no reported injuries and Firefighters did a good job of preventing this fire from spreading to other homes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
