2 Alarm Apartment Fire
Sacramento- a two alarm fire destroyed two South Natomas apartment units this afternoon. The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the reported fire at 2:35 P.M. and were on scene in 6 minutes. They encountered heavy fire from a downstairs unit that had spread to the second floor. A second alarm was requested. The fire had also spread into the attic.
Firefighters were able to control the fire before it damaged any additional units of this eight unit apartment building. A total of four units were going to be uninhabitable, with 5 adults and one child who will need housing. One Firefighter suffered a minor arm injury and was treated and released at a local hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
