Sacramento- two apartment units burned this afternoon in South Sacramento. The fire was reported at 2:45 P.M. The first arriving units found heavy fire in the one story apartment building. A third unit also received some damage.

This fire is located near Fire Station #16. Today is Engine 16’s scheduled day to be “browned out”, (closed). Engine 56 from the fire station at Franklin Blvd. & 47^th Avenue was on another call and were able to make themselves available. They responded and were the first engine company on scene. They arrived in about 5 ½ minutes.

There have been no reported injuries. The fire is under investigation.
