Friday, June 22, MET-Rx Strongman competitor Jesse Marunde will be at McClellan Training Facility, promoting the June 23rd Hero Challenge to benefit the Sacramento Children's Receiving Home.
The Hero Challenge is an obstacle course and skills test utilizing equipment and techniques from fire fighting, law enforcement and military agilities. This fitness challenge includes an obstacle course and 3 skills stations. The Hero Challenge is conducted like a Strongman competition where competitors, two at a time, race against the clock to complete their task. Spectators get to cheer on their favorite "Hero" during the event.
Marunde will be performing the "truck pull" with an SFD Ladder Truck. That means, he'll be pulling a 50,000 pound vehicle with a rope, harness and a whole lot of sweat!
MET-Rx will be providing free autographed pictures, MET-Rx T-shirts, magazines, bars and shakes for all Local 522 spectators.
This special event will held from 0800 - 1000, starting with a meet and greet, for all Local 522 spectators, and a chance to compete against Marunde in the "sled"--which he has never seen!
